PFC forever

After searching all over the internet for PFC sources and codes while doing my own brand new framework, I found that many sites been closed and most of the information for PFC being lost.

Programming using PFC framework is away better than starting from scratch, the best thing I like about PFC is using its security module and several Application and Datawindow services.

Actually I am a programmer in C# but I found programming in Powerbuilder is much much faster from designing and programming and publish for production for all of my work, in the other hand maintaining Components and versioning with several versions of Visual studio is really a miss to make your environment safe and ready. also runinning your old codes if it uses components will be almost impossible because you can not remember which version of control you were using, and changing or using another version will require from you days to resolve versioning problems. easy way is use the standard controls and most easier is using Powerbuilder, and if you are using PFC 7 to 12.5 it will be the same if you just extending your services.

I have several apps on produciton still working built from PB 7, and some with PB 9 which I recently upgrade them to PB 12.5.

I am still using classic version of Powerbuilder 12.5, I tried to use .NET version and it was working fine, but it require several addional steps like framework and additional DLLs, for WPF output which I am really not interesting on. so I keep myself in PB 12.5 with my PFC librares and my latest framework, which is giving super power application and extremely fast and robust application for my customers who is really happy with it and they never complain about performence if they are using Thinclient computers or old computer running XP, or a touch screen computer with Windows 8.1, I have also customers who is using Citrix to publish my applications over the web and I make some changes in my framework to make it possible for them.

any way I will talk later about my framework which is having Environment of Classic windows up to the latest version all directories like Temp, User Application folder which is really important if you writing some temp files, in the other hand it have OCX Auto registery which is using evalute command which allow Admin to enter user name and password, I added also Click once environment for my application to allow it to run from a URL on the web browser. in My framework I added multi profile Database connections which allow user in the login screen to select a profile or create a new one.
